Special Education Teacher - Broomfield, Colorado

Desired Qualifications:
- Active CDE Special Education (SPED) license is required
- Previous experience working with students with Significant Support Needs (SSN) strongly preferred
- Ability to design and implement IEPs tailored to individual student requirements
- Strong communication skills for engaging parents, colleagues, and related service providers
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and commitment to inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, adapted instruction for students with significant support needs
- Develop, update, and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to ensure students receive appropriate supports and services
- Utilize data-driven assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with staff and families
This position follows a Tuesday through Friday schedule, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., totaling 34 hours each week and allowing for a restful three-day weekend every week. The contract runs from late August through early June, providing the opportunity to make a lasting impact over the course of the school year.
