This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support during the school year, fostering growth and development in an inclusive, nurturing educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with students who have autism and/or intellectual delays preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and support personnel
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student-centered teaching
Core Duties:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs in a middle school setting
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educational staff to implement best practices and achieve student goals
- Adapt curriculum and activities to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
- Communicate consistently with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student performance and strategies for success
Work Schedule & Contract Details:
- Full-time, school-year position
- Hours: 7:15 AM – 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday
