Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts Special Education License required
- Previous experience in a special education setting, preferably K-12
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse student needs and learning styles
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to students in accordance with IEPs
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to student goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students are encouraged to achieve their best
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program planning
- Varying caseloads and classroom types offer opportunities to work with a wide range of abilities and grade levels
