Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Michigan Special Education Certification (any type)
- Previous experience or student teaching in special education roles preferred
- Passion for working with middle school-aged students in a resource setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility and commitment to maintaining a productive, positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and support as a resource teacher for students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to Michigan guidelines
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success and inclusion
- Employ creative interventions and differentiated strategies to address academic and social-emotional growth
- Monitor progress, document student achievements, and communicate regularly with families and educational teams
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives on behalf of your students
