Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License with Multi-cat endorsement or required certifications
- Proven ability in effectively managing special education classrooms and adapting instruction for diverse needs
- Prior school-based experience with resource or self-contained settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside general education staff, families, and service providers
- Flexibility to serve in full-time or part-time assignments, with interest in your preferred age group welcomed
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction to meet students’ varied IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with classroom teams to create inclusive and supportive environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning
- Engage with families and colleagues to ensure student growth and well-being
Role Highlights:
- Full-time opportunities at elementary (8:30-3:35), high school (8:30-3:35), and most middle school settings (7:30-2:45), plus a flexible part-time resource teaching role (18-20 hours/week)
- Classroom placements in resource, self-contained, and co-teaching models
- Assignments begin July 27, 2026, and run through May 28, 2027
- In-person teaching is preferred, with virtual options potentially available as the start date approaches
