Special Education Teacher | Central Falls, Rhode Island

This full-time, contract position focuses on supporting students in grades 3-4 with developmental disabilities (LS) in a nurturing learning environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching license in RI or MA (mild-moderate or severe)
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary students with developmental disabilities
- Commitment to collaborative approaches and ongoing professional development
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction for a small group of students in grades 3-4
- Adapt lesson plans to accommodate a variety of learning needs and abilities
- Work closely with a team of teaching assistants (1:3 ratio) to ensure comprehensive support for each child
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members
- Participate in professional training and development throughout the school year
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
