Special Education Teacher - Chandler, AZ
A rewarding contract opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Resource Room teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time position is designed to support high school students, focusing on delivering high-quality instruction in English Language Arts within a resource room setting. The school operates on a traditional Monday through Friday schedule from 7 am to 3 pm, allowing for optimal work-life balance and consistent daily routines.

Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Special Education (SPED) license
- ELA certification (required for instruction within resource room setting)
- IVP fingerprint clearance card (mandatory)
- Previous experience working in a high school special education environment preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and goal implementation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and academic support in ELA to students with disabilities in a resource room
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student assessments and team input
- Regularly monitor, document, and report on student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure alignment and support
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and structured classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members regarding progress and needs
