What we’re looking for:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education Teacher credentials
- Demonstrated experience with IEP development and implementation
- Comfort teaching across K-12 grade levels in self-contained or resource classrooms
- Strong work ethic, with a willingness to collaborate and innovate
- Positive attitude and commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and adapt strategies to best support student growth and success
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, and implement effective IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Teach and support students in academic, social, and life skills appropriate to their developmental levels
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and service providers to monitor progress and adjust strategies
- Maintain accurate records, track student achievement, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
