Key Qualifications:
- Valid West Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in one or more of the following: Autism Spectrum (AS), Learning Disabilities (LD), Behavior Disorders (BD), or Mild/Moderate Impairments (MI)
- Prior experience in special education settings, ideally within a school environment
- Adaptable to either in-person or virtual (VOCO) educational delivery
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction, accommodations, and support to students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and relevant school activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
