Special Education Teacher - Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Special Education Teachers are needed for contract opportunities serving schools in Massachusetts. You'll have the chance to make a significant difference by engaging students with diverse needs across a range of classroom settings. There are positions available supporting K-12 students, with caseloads adjusted based on your experience and preference.
Key qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education License is required
- Experience managing a variety of classroom types preferred (Resource, Inclusion, or Self-Contained)
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for all learners
- Strong collaboration skills with other teachers, families, and support staff
- Flexible and adaptable to varying classroom dynamics and student needs
Primary responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Provide direct instruction and specialized academic support to students with identified needs
- Implement behavioral and academic interventions as appropriate
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and team members
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student growth
- Support the emotional and social development of students in your classroom
