Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification/license
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs, especially at the elementary level
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and staff
- Adaptability in both resource and extended instructional settings
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records for students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies
- Advocate for each student while nurturing academic growth, independence, and social-emotional well-being
