Key Qualifications:
- Active NC Exceptional Children (EC) licensure required
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher (resource or inclusion settings preferred)
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 24 students (grades K-2)
- Familiarity with the ECATS system for documentation
- Skilled in implementing both pull-out reading and push-in math support
- Strong organizational abilities for progress reporting and handling new referrals
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with students through reading pull-out groups and offer classroom push-in support for math instruction
- Maintain accurate and timely progress reports every five weeks
- Utilize the ECATS platform to manage all required paperwork and student data
- Respond to new referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches to meet individual student needs and goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
Role Details:
- 25 hours per week or a 4-day schedule (20 hours/week)
- Position starts on August 17
- Elementary resource setting, supporting K-2 EC students
- Manage a caseload, track progress, and actively collaborate with other educators
