What’s Needed to Thrive:
- Current certification or licensure appropriate for the assigned caseload
- Bachelor's degree required to qualify for an emergency teaching permit
- Proven school experience in special education settings
- Ability to successfully pass all Pennsylvania clearances
- Solid classroom and behavioral management abilities
- Experience working effectively in urban school environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Reliable transportation for daily attendance
- Comfort and adaptability to requirements of the school location
- Availability for a full-time schedule with no adjustments (see detailed school hours below)
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans aligned with PA state and district standards
- Create inclusive learning environments and employ effective instructional strategies
- Monitor student progress, providing ongoing assessment and feedback
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Foster positive, focused learning spaces through consistent behavioral management
- Participate in professional development and adhere to all district policies
Schedules & Locations:
- Elementary: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Middle: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM OR 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM (TBD)
- High: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
