Soliant is seeking Special Education Teachers for multiple school-based opportunities in Chicago, IL. These positions are ideal for experienced Special Education professionals looking to support students across elementary, middle, and high school settings while developing and implementing individualized education programs.
Assignment Details
Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Chicago, IL
Openings:
- Longwood High School (Grades 9–12): 1 placement
- Longwood Elementary (Grades 4–8): 1–3 placements
- Prairie School (Grades K–8): 1 placement
Schedule: Full-Time
Assignment Details: ASAP - 05/21/2027
Pay Rate: $38–$43/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities
- Develop, write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, families, and related service providers
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs
- Maintain accurate student documentation and progress reports
- Support students in meeting academic, behavioral, and individualized goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and other student support meetings
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) certification
- Proficiency with writing and implementing IEPs
- Minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous school-based Special Education teaching experience
- Experience working with students across elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs in a collaborative school environment
