Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse abilities and needs
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to individualized learning plans
- Proficiency with classroom technology and assistive devices
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and curriculum standards
- Provide direct instruction, support, and accommodations for students according to their unique needs
- Monitor student progress, collect relevant data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with families and staff to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment
- Foster independence, self-advocacy, and confidence among students
