Special Education Teacher | Cleveland, Ohio

You’ll enjoy the continuity of working with a manageable caseload of 16 students and will collaborate with dedicated education professionals as you nurture growth and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Intervention Specialist license (or eligibility strongly preferred)
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including writing and implementation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Effective data-collection, progress monitoring, and report-writing abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide specially designed instruction (SDI) to boost student achievement and personal growth
- Monitor student progress toward goals, collect relevant data, and provide regular updates through progress reports
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment in alignment with best practices for K-8 special education
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instruction to meet diverse learning profiles
