What We’re Looking For:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with K-8 grade levels, preferably in a resource room or similar setting
- Demonstrated skills in developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong classroom management and evidence-based behavioral strategies
- Comfort with varying student behaviors and adapting practices accordingly
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and support staff
- Flexible mindset with a commitment to helping every student succeed
Responsibilities:
- Establish a safe, supportive classroom environment where every student is valued
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student’s needs
- Develop, update, and document IEP goals and student progress
- Work collaboratively with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Communicate regularly with parents about progress and strategies for continued growth
- Integrate behavior support plans and interventions into daily activities
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and adhere to all regulatory requirements
