This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher with expertise in early childhood and multi-categorical instruction, serving students across multiple grade levels. You will be an essential part of a team working in-person to foster meaningful progress for children with a range of exceptionalities.
What We’re Seeking:
- Current and active South Carolina Teaching License
- BOTH Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification
- Multi-Categorical (Multi-Cat) endorsement
- Experience in self-contained and resource settings across K-12
- Versatility to address a variety of student needs, including elementary severe and high school self-contained
- Commitment to on-site instruction
- Ability to thrive in collaborative, adaptive educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct specialized instruction for K-2 students in a multi-categorical self-contained classroom
- Support K-5 students as an EC Resource Teacher
- Instruct and guide students with severe disabilities in grades 3-5 in a dedicated classroom environment
- Deliver targeted learning support for high school students in a self-contained ID-mild setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals
