Key Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Teaching License required
- BOTH Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification required
- Multi-Categorical Endorsement necessary
- Experience working in self-contained and resource classroom settings encouraged
- Ability to collaborate and build positive rapport with students, families, and team colleagues
- Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students in self-contained and resource settings (K-2, K-5, 3-5, and high school, as assigned)
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and document outcomes effectively
- Guide students with diverse disabilities, including multi-categorical, severe, and mild intellectual disabilities
- Communicate regularly with families and internal teams about student progress
- Engage in ongoing professional development throughout the contract period
- Maintain compliance with all district and state requirements
