Special Education Teacher | Collinsville, Oklahoma

The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and involves roles for both severe/profound certified teachers (with a preference for Early Childhood certification) and two openings for mild/moderate certified special education teachers (Elementary certification preferred).

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education (severe/profound and/or mild/moderate)
- Early Childhood or Elementary certification preferred
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a special education classroom
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement IEPs and adapt curriculum to meet each student’s needs
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and support of students’ diverse abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with a range of special needs in an elementary setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and related services staff
- Provide a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere fostering independence and growth
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
- Engage with families as partners in their child’s educational journey
