Your expertise as an Ohio-certified Intervention Specialist allows you to adapt instruction and develop individualized education plans in a high-needs environment. You'll coordinate closely with classroom teachers, related services teams, and families to promote inclusive learning experiences and ensure every student's progress.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist certification (required)
- Experience working in special education, preferably with high-needs students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and adaptability when supporting diverse learning styles
- Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve either in a high school or K-5 high needs setting, depending on assignment
- Deliver direct instruction and adapt curriculum to individual student needs
- Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to evaluation meetings
- Maintain organized documentation and parent communication
- Support positive behavior interventions within the classroom
