Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid North Carolina licensure as a Special Education Teacher (required)
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 student populations
- Background in both self-contained and resource settings preferred
- Proficiency in implementing and managing IEPs
- Ability to perform all general Special Education instructional and compliance-related responsibilities
- Strong work ethic and commitment to fostering a growth mindset in students
- Positive attitude and effective team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
- Develop, write, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Document student performance and progress regularly
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere
- Participate in required meetings, professional development, and school activities
