Location: Elementary School
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
School Year: August 25 – June 14
Hours: 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Elementary Special Education Case Manager to support 2nd and 3rd grade students. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success while collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers to ensure each student's individualized needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary case manager for assigned 2nd and 3rd grade students receiving special education services.
- Provide direct, individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs using evaluation data, progress monitoring, and student performance to guide instructional planning.
- Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and records using NHSEIS.
- Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction based on data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure appropriate implementation of accommodations, modifications, and specialized instruction across educational settings.
- Supervise and support paraprofessionals and other instructional staff working with assigned students.
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, school counselors, administrators, families, and community agencies to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress effectively with families and team members.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations, procedural safeguards, and policies.
- Complete all required documentation and fulfill assigned building-level duties as directed by school administration.
Qualifications
- Valid Special Education teaching certification/licensure required.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs preferred.
- Knowledge of special education laws, compliance requirements, and best instructional practices.
- Experience using NHSEIS or similar special education management systems is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
