Key Qualifications:
- Current Texas Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
- Experience or strong interest in working within K-8th grade inclusion settings
- Ability to foster a supportive and structured learning environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for teaming with general educators and support staff
- Dedication to modifying curriculum and instruction to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and academic support to students within the inclusion model
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to implement IEPs and effective accommodations
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Liaise regularly with families and support staff to ensure student success
- Contribute to the overall classroom environment through positive behavior supports and inclusive practices
