Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and inclusion practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with students with disabilities
- Willingness to adapt instruction to meet students’ unique needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track progress of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Use innovative teaching strategies to deliver instruction based on students’ abilities and goals
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams for student success
- Provide direct support and adaptations to ensure participation and growth in both academic and social-emotional areas
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training to stay current in best practices
