Desired Qualifications:
- Current Kansas Special Education license (required)
- Demonstrated experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged students in a special education setting
- Familiarity with intensive skills instruction, including support for students with autism
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse needs in both early childhood and elementary intensive skills classrooms
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s learning goals
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support social, emotional, and academic growth for students on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate with classroom staff, related service providers, and families to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment
- Collect and report data on student progress, adapting instruction as necessary
