This assignment includes two specialized caseloads:
- One classroom focused on serving 9-12 students with multiple disabilities, including autism, non-verbal, and physical impairments.
- One classroom supporting 10-15 students with emotional disabilities, emphasizing proactive behavior support, social-emotional skill-building, and crisis intervention.
Your key qualifications and experience:
- Active and valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher in accordance with state requirements.
- Experience in teaching and supporting students with multiple and emotional disabilities preferred.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs, BIPs, and adapting curriculum materials.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.
- Understanding of crisis intervention techniques and sensory or behavioral strategies.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering specialized instruction aligned with individual students’ needs.
- Leading and implementing behavior and academic interventions.
- Collaboratively working with paraprofessionals and related service providers.
- Maintaining comprehensive student records, progress data, and compliance documentation.
- Communicating regularly with families, administration, and support teams.
