Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Special Education teaching license (or willingness to obtain; emergency and pending certification considered)
- Enrolled in, or a graduate of, Teachers of America or ITeach programs welcome
- Experience with K–2nd Autism and/or PreK special education preferred
- Ability to cultivate a supportive, structured classroom for diverse learners
- Collaborative spirit for working alongside paraprofessionals and staff
- Strong communication skills for engaging with families and team members
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate where all learners feel respected and empowered
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to deliver consistent, high-quality support
- Maintain regular communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Track and report on student progress, adapting instruction as needed
