Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Relevant endorsements, specifically in Elementary Special Education and Behavioral Needs
- Proven experience working in autism support or intellectual disability settings
- Strong ability to build relationships with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to individualized instruction and positive behavior strategies
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in elementary autism programs, an early childhood classroom, and a high school intellectual disability setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Utilize evidence-based classroom management and instructional techniques
- Collect ongoing data to inform instructional decisions and support student progress
- Cultivate a proactive and supportive learning atmosphere
- Engage in family communication and staff meetings as needed
