Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
- Experience working with K-2 students in a classroom setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage and instruct students with Emotional Impairments (EI)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans
- Patience, resourcefulness, and a student-centered mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, effective instruction to a self-contained class of K-2 students with EI needs
- Develop and modify lesson plans to address diverse learning abilities
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and success
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure holistic student support
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with professional and legal standards
