Two flexible options fit your schedule and preference:
- Full-time (40 hours/week): Oversee a caseload of 14–20 students in either 9th grade or 10th–12th grade.
- Part-time (20 hours/week): Provide targeted support to approximately 10 students, with a choice of AM or PM shifts, Monday through Friday.
As a pivotal resource room educator, you will:
- Deliver individualized academic support tailored to each student’s learning needs.
- Foster social-emotional growth and resilience in a supportive classroom setting.
- Implement effective behavior intervention strategies that encourage positive outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create consistent, empowering learning experiences.
Desired experience and qualifications include:
- Prior experience in Special Education is highly valued.
- Michigan Special Education Certification is preferred; however, educators with a substitute Special Education Certificate are welcome to apply.
- Comfort working with high school students and familiarity with resource room environments.
