Qualifications & Necessary Skills:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) Certification required
- Demonstrated experience supporting Autism populations within a school district
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Creative lesson planning and differentiated instruction expertise
- Excellent communication, documentation, and classroom management abilities
Your Day-to-Day:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student
- Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and styles
- Coordinate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Monitor progress and maintain thorough, timely records
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment promoting social and emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in faculty meetings and ongoing professional development
Compensation is based on school experience, with a target range of $49-61 per hour. This allows experienced special educators to be compensated according to their years in the field while providing new teachers a supportive launch pad for their careers.
