Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered, including:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution
Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date
Appropriate Special Education endorsement(s) as required by the district and assignment
Compliance with all Colorado state and district employment requirements
Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting requirements
Authorization to work in the United States
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state guidelines
Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in various educational settings
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
Compensation and Benefits

Premium pay rates: 42.00-51.00 an hour
