Special Education Teacher - Derry, New Hampshire

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school environment, supporting students in grades K-4 on a 12-week contract assignment. Requirements and Desired Skills:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary (K-4th) students
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and implementation
- Ability to collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to student growth
- Previous contract or travel experience in schools is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
- Provide small group and one-on-one instruction, modifications, and accommodations tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and school personnel to ensure comprehensive support
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
- Manage caseload responsibilities within a full-time, Monday to Friday schedule (32-37.5 hours per week)
