As a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level, you will support first and fourth-grade students in a resource position, managing a focused caseload of approximately 10 students. Working Monday through Friday from 8:50 AM to 3:35 PM gives you balanced workdays and ample opportunity to unwind or discover the local scene each evening and weekend.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (state-specific credentials may be required)
- Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students, preferably in a resource or inclusive setting
- Comfort adapting instruction to meet IEP goals and a variety of learning styles
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a travel position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to first and fourth-grade students within a resource setting
- Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support staff
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
