Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for K-12 levels
- Previous experience working with students with varying disabilities and specialized needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Creative, flexible approach with a passion for differentiated instruction
- Ability to foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to K-12 students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Work in partnership with related service providers, classroom teachers, and school staff
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student growth and needs
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance requirements
- Promote a safe, supportive classroom climate that encourages student participation and growth
