For the 2026-2027 school year, we are seeking a passionate educator ready to work with students who have moderate behavioral needs and focus on Math and Science instruction. If you’re looking to make an immediate impact, early start opportunities are available through ESY starting July 6th.
This contract role places you in a supportive classroom environment—two teachers collaborate at all times—where your special education expertise will make a real difference for students referred from area districts. Both general education and special education certifications are welcome, though prior experience with special education is preferred.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid general education or special education teaching certification (SPED experience is a plus)
- Strong background in Math and/or Science at the high school level
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges or in alternative school settings is valued
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, structured, and positive classroom environment
Your Role:
- Develop and deliver engaging Math and Science lessons to high school students with moderate behavioral needs
- Collaborate closely with a classroom co-teacher and school team to support student growth
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and use evidence-based strategies
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings
