Desired Skills and Requirements:
- Current and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education
- Ability to obtain and submit all required Pennsylvania clearances before your start date
- Successful completion of IU-assigned pre-training prior to beginning the assignment
- Previous experience or strong passion for working with students on the autism spectrum is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Professional, compassionate, and adaptable approach in changing environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based instruction to students in Autistic Support settings
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to individual student needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Monitor student progress, assess outcomes, and adjust approaches as necessary
- Maintain accurate records, following legal, district, and ethical guidelines
