Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education (PK-4 or appropriate state equivalent)
- Experience teaching preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of early childhood special education best practices
- Ability to develop individualized learning strategies and adapt curriculum based on student needs
- Compassionate communication with young learners, families, and educational teams
- Ability to manage classroom routines and facilitate an inclusive, nurturing environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for preschoolers in both morning (8:00-10:30) and afternoon (12:20-2:50) sessions
- Adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs and IEP goals of students
- Create a positive, supportive classroom that encourages growth and participation
- Collaborate with classroom assistants, related service providers, and administrators
- Consistently maintain student records and progress documentation
- Foster effective communication with families regarding student development
