Two roles are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers who are ready to make a difference in early childhood or middle school classrooms. Help shape an inclusive learning experience and provide essential support to students across multiple school sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Special Education (state requirements must be met)
- Experience working with diverse student needs, preferably in school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and tracking IEPs
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to a variety of learning levels
- Capable of effectively managing a classroom and caseload
Role Details & Responsibilities:
- Early Childhood: PreK, ages 3-5; caseload of 10-20 students; work at multiple sites tailored to candidate strengths. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am–3:30 pm, August through late May.
- Middle School: 6th-8th grade, ages 10-14; caseload of 22 students; based at a local middle school. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm, August through late May. While in-person instruction is preferred, virtual candidates may be considered for this role.
- Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support based on students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with general educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Conduct progress monitoring and maintain documentation aligned with district and legal standards
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
