Special Education Teacher | Eagle, Colorado

Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive and welcoming school community. This contract opportunity invites a passionate educator to work full-time with a mild to moderate caseload in a collaborative environment. The ideal start would be as soon as possible, with the assignment running through the end of May 2027.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Colorado or eligible for reciprocity)
- Experience teaching or supporting students with mild to moderate exceptionalities at the elementary level
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- A collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity and student growth
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual learning needs in a dedicated elementary classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and staff
- Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports emotional and academic development
What to expect:
- Structured Monday, Thursday, and Friday schedule: 7:40 AM – 2:50 PM
- Wednesday schedule: 8:40 AM – 2:50 PM
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20 students
- Full-time, 40 hours per week on a contract basis
- On-site position; remote/virtual teaching is not an option
