Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (required)
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Positive, flexible, and resourceful approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in small groups and one-on-one settings
- Assess student abilities and monitor individual progress
- Develop lesson plans tailored to unique learning needs
- Foster a supportive, respectful classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communication
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting
- Implement behavior management plans as needed
