Special Education Teacher in Easton, WA

Located near Easton, WA, you’ll be working with a K-8 online ALE (Alternative Learning Experience) program for the 26/27 school year, ensuring students stay on track to meet their IEP goals. All students receive their education virtually and remain at home; there’s no direct classroom instruction, but meticulous documentation and ongoing communication are key.
Qualifications:
- Current WA Special Education Teacher Certification required
- Experience supporting K-8 student populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) compliance and goal tracking
- Comfortable with remote communication and digital documentation
- Ability to manage a caseload of 25–30 students with varied special needs, such as SLP, health impairments, and learning disabilities
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary special education point of contact for a virtual K-8 student caseload
- Create and maintain IEPs, tracking student progress and ensuring full compliance
- Communicate regularly and flexibly with parents to coordinate schedules and meetings
- Document student goals, progress, and required data, streamlining reporting for the district
- Collaborate with speech, health, and learning disability specialists as needed
