Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Oklahoma State Educator License with Mild-Moderate or Severe-Profound Endorsement
- At least 2 years of recent classroom teaching experience in Special Education preferred
- Experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, encouraging, and respectful classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEP goals and accommodations
- Assess student progress and modify instruction as needed to ensure academic and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers
- Communicate regularly with families on student progress and strategies for support
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to timelines for IEPs and progress reports
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives
