Special Education Teacher | Effingham, South Carolina

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education License. Candidates with emergency or pending certifications will be considered, including those enrolled in Teachers of America or ITeach programs.
- Experience working with elementary or PreK special education students is highly valued.
- Ability to foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to work effectively with paraeducators and other instructional staff.
- Commitment to supporting individualized learning plans and adapting teaching strategies to ensure all students reach their fullest potential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement and adapt special education curriculum for students in a self-contained classroom.
- Create individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, families, and support staff to support student growth.
- Track and communicate student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
