Special Education Teacher | Elgin, Illinois

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (appropriate for elementary grades)
- Experience supporting students with IEPs at the elementary level
- Strong knowledge of resource teaching strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to manage a small caseload and deliver specially designed instruction
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide resource support and instruction for first and fourth-grade students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans
- Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure inclusive practices and modifications are implemented
- Conduct assessments, track progress, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers
- Cultivate a supportive, engaging, and safe classroom environment where every student can thrive
