This role provides a stable, full-time weekly schedule (35-40 hours), beginning in early August and running through late May. You’ll work onsite at one dedicated location within a welcoming school district known for its supportive teams and collaborative environment.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Active Special Education Teacher license
- Current teaching certificate with Learning Disabilities or Multicategorical Special Education endorsement
- Experience or strong interest in resource and/or self-contained classrooms
- Compassion, flexibility, and a dedication to student growth
- Willingness to participate in standard onboarding and background check process
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Role responsibilities:
- Design and lead individualized instruction for K-12 students with diverse learning needs
- Manage and adapt IEPs in partnership with families and colleagues
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Track progress and document student growth
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and education team
- Assist in creating engaging, differentiated lesson plans
- Participate in district meetings and ongoing training opportunities
