Special Education Teacher - Englewood, CO

We're seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers to join supportive school teams on a contract basis, beginning ASAP and continuing through May 27, 2027. Opportunities are available at both elementary and high school levels, including Specialized Programs for students with Significant Support Needs (SSN) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Your responsibilities will focus on enhancing student growth academically, socially, and emotionally within inclusive and specialized settings. You’ll collaborate with experienced staff and have the guidance of an agency and recruiter network that truly understands the needs of travel professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Special Education Generalist license (required)
- Previous experience with students in SSN and/or ASD programs preferred
- Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a diverse range of learning exceptionalities
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to students with significant support needs or autism in elementary or high school settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education staff
- Communicate regularly with families, sharing progress and insights
- Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate individual learning styles
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
