Grades 6 - 8 K-5 Special Education Teacher | College Place, Washington

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting diverse learning needs across elementary to high school settings. This contract position offers an opportunity to empower students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a collaborative, resourceful educational environment. The role covers a variety of caseloads, including self-contained, resource, and special day classroom openings. Qualifications:
- Valid and active state license in Special Education
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Ability to manage and support diverse learners in self-contained, resource, or special day settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Adaptability and dedication to fostering an inclusive educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with varying learning needs within grades K-12
- Tailor educational plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals and objectives
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Maintain a positive, supportive classroom climate that encourages student participation and growth
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required credentials
This role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, with a weekly schedule of 30 to 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $37 to $41+ per hour, based on experience, with weekly pay for your convenience.
