Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for the state
- Prior experience working with students who have varying learning needs and disabilities
- Ability to develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and administration
- Knowledgeable in behavioral management techniques and effective instructional strategies
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver specially tailored lessons and interventions for students with disabilities
- Assess student progress, modify instruction, and track academic and behavioral goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create mainstreaming and inclusion opportunities
- Write and maintain accurate IEP documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed of student progress and encourage involvement
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development sessions, and multidisciplinary collaborations
